Bibi Ka Maqbara, a magnificent mausoleum, is situated at a distance of approximately 5 km from the A urangabad city of India. It entombs Rabia-ul-Duarnai, alias Dilras Banu Begum, the wife of the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Thr construction work on the mausoleum was started in the year 1651 and it took apporximately 10 years to complete it. Prince Azam Shah, the Son of Aurangzeb of Bibi ka Makbara is adorned with an inscription.

Daulatabad is situated around 13 kms away from Aurangabad. This place is known fro its majestic fortness which build in 12 th century on top of a hill. The Dualatabad fort emerge dramatically over 600 ft above the Daccan plain. It is one of the world’s best preserved forts of medieval times and also one of the few impergnable forts in Maharshtra with excellent architecture. The city was named Dualatabad ‘The city of fortune’, by Mahammed bin Tughluq, the sultan of Delhi.

51 kms south of Aurangabad, the looms of Paithan still weave the beautiful Paithani saris that are prized by all Indian women. The town is also famous for the Dnyaneshwar Udyan, which is the the largest garden in Maharashtra, and a museum which treasures a fascinating collection of art. The Jaikwadi Dam nearby is a bird-watchers-delight.

Shirdi is situated approximately 144 kms from Aurangabad . It is an important excursion destination from Aurangabad and is considered as a holy place by the Hindus. Innumerable tourists come thought the year to visit the shrine of Sidhi Sai Baba, located here, Apart from this, there are some holy shrines closely related to Sai Baba here. It can be easily reached from the nearby towns.

The famous Ellora caves are located in the lap of the Chamadari hills. These historical caves are regarded as world heritage and are situated 18 miles northwest of Aurangabad. The Ellora Caves are as old as 300 years. At first sight, the Ellora appears to the visitors as an asymmetrical ridge of rock, emerging vertically from the ground.

The famous Ajanta caves are situated about 99 kms away from Aurangabad district in the state of Maharashtra. These caves are regarded as a world heritage site and were carved out from the 2nd century BC to 6th century AD. They are placed in a horseshoe shape about 3.5 m away from the village. The river Wagura, a mountain stream flows along the bottom of the ravine. This river falls a height 0f 200 ft, thus making a series of waterfalls. The sound of the waterfalls be heard in the caves also.

Takht Sachkhand Shri Hazur Abchalnagar Sahib, Nanded is one of the five Takhts of the Sikhs. It is the place from where the Guru Gobind Singh Ji rose to Sachkhand along with his horse Dilbag. Gurudwara was built under instructions from Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji.

The Pratapgarh Fort is built in 1656 and the place from where the history of the Maratha Emperor Shivaji turned into a decisive course. This is here that Afzal Khan met his death. The Pratapgarh Fort is 900 m above sea level. It is 24 km west of Mahabaleshwar. The fort from a distance gives the appearance of a round topped hill. The wall of the lower fort forms a sort of s crown round the arrow.
